Embark on an incredible journey through three of Egypt's most spiritually and historically significant destinations — Luxor, Dendera, and Abydos. Begin in Luxor with a guided visit to the colossal Karnak Temple complex, one of the largest religious structures ever built. Cross the Nile to the West Bank to explore the Valley of the Kings, where the richly decorated tombs of ancient pharaohs lie hidden beneath the desert hills, and marvel at the grand mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut carved into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari.

On Day 3, venture beyond Luxor to two of Egypt's most extraordinary yet lesser-visited temples. First, discover Abydos — one of Egypt's oldest and most sacred cities, believed to be the burial site of Osiris, god of the underworld. The Temple of Seti I, begun by Seti I and completed by Ramses II, houses some of the finest and most vividly preserved wall paintings and reliefs in all of Egypt, including the renowned Abydos King List. Begin your morning with a visit to the magnificent Karnak Temple complex, one of the largest ancient religious sites in the world and a masterpiece of ancient Egyptian architecture.

Cross the Nile to Luxor's legendary West Bank to explore the Valley of the Kings, where the elaborately decorated royal tombs of pharaohs such as Tutankhamun and Ramses II are carved deep into the limestone cliffs.

Continue to the breathtaking mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, one of ancient Egypt's most remarkable female rulers.

Dendera & Abydos Sacred Temples Day Tour from Luxor

Set off from Luxor on a full-day excursion to two of Egypt's most sacred and historically significant temple sites.

Begin at Abydos, one of ancient Egypt's oldest cities and believed to be the burial site of Osiris, god of the underworld. Explore the Temple of Seti I, a masterpiece begun by Pharaoh Seti I and completed by his son Ramses II, renowned for housing some of the finest and most vividly preserved wall paintings in all of Egypt — including the famous Abydos King List, which records the names of 76 Egyptian pharaohs in sequence.
